Four-star Husker offer recipient Bryce Gilmore discusses Nebraska, June schedule and putting in the work

Bryce Gilmore is moving efficiently down his own lane, and the opportunities ahead are as wide as his wingspan.

But it’s worth mentioning his father for a bit since his story adds a little something extra to the recruit who also recently received a Husker offer.

Bryan Gilmore, a wide receiver who went undrafted, worked his way from Midwestern State to an eight-year NFL career from 2000 to 2007.

Pretty great example of how to succeed even when the odds were stacked.

“Now that I’m getting invited to these camps and getting all these offers and visits, it’s amazing because he’s so happy,” said the 2026 O-lineman prospect. “Because he wasn’t able to have that. He just hopes that I can go somewhere that I will be celebrated and not tolerated.”

Of course it took major work ethic for Bryan to make the move from the smaller Division II school in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the NFL. Yessir, Bryce said, that same want to grind for success was passed on to him.

“He says I work harder than him, though,” the recruit added with a laugh.
