The University of Alabama football team has a new defensive coordinator in Kane Wommack.

Wommack brings in a new system, but has he inherited the best safety duo in college football?

Alabama has Malachi Moore and Keon Sabb (transfer from Michigan) on the back end of its defense. Moore, a fifth-year player, has a lot of experience — including a College Football Playoff National Championship as a freshman in 2020. Sabb, a New Jersey native, helped the Wolverines to a CFP National Championship last season before choosing the Tide via the NCAA transfer portal.

Both played off each other well in spring practice, but Pro Football Focus has high praise for them.

The website ranked Sabb and Moore among the top 10 safeties returning to the Southeastern Conference.

Sabb has the third-highest ranking at 82.1 while Moore is eighth at 77.5. Both have an opportunity to propel the Tide’s defense to a national championship in Kalen DeBoer’s first season as head coach at Alabama.

Sabb and Moore also have a chance to increase their value for next year’s NFL Draft.

Alabama 4-Star DL commit shuts down Auburn flip rumors

Alabama football’s four-star defensive lineman commit, Antonio Coleman looks to be locked in and ready to continue rolling with the Crimson Tide.

Coleman is currently on an official visit with the Tide.

The Saraland product and four-star recruit was once committed to Auburn, but he flipped his commitment back to the Tide in March. Auburn got Coleman on campus recently for an official visit.

The Tigers do not look like they will be able to flip Coleman back, per a clip from his latest Instagram live where he denounced “War Eagle.”

Touchdown Alabama caught up with Coleman last month at the Spartans’ spring game, and he discussed his decision to flip his commitment back to Alabama.

“I just wanted be where it felt like it was home at,” Coleman said.
