CeeDee Lamb’s future has been the subject of much speculation recently, and if negotiations fail, the Dallas Cowboys wide receiver could be transferred. While there are no credible allegations that Lamb wants to be traded, Dallas’ deal with the 25-year-old runs through the 2024 season. In terms of potential trade partners, the Denver Broncos appear to be looking for a new top receiver. Courtland Sutton leads the way for the team, although Jerry Jeudy was dealt to the Cleveland Browns this summer.

Trading Lamb is the worst-case scenario for Dallas. He has established himself as one of the NFL’s best receivers and appears to be only getting better. However, the Cowboys must be prepared to cope with him if the worst occurs.

With his skill set, Lamb should earn a high trade return. However, any team to whom he is traded must re-sign him within less than a year. The Broncos will have a pick in each round of next year’s draft, as well as other potential trade pieces.

According to a recent piece by Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report, the Broncos might give up a second or third-round selection, as well as Sutton, in exchange for Lamb. Sutton is a downgrade in contrast, yet he remains one of the NFL’s most productive receivers.
