FORWARD Following his two goals in Southampton’s 3-1 victory over Leeds United, Adam Armstrong has been included in the Championship team of the week.
The Geordie lifted the mood inside St Mary’s after a tough set of results by putting Saints in front just 104 seconds into the game on Saturday.
Having been set through on goal by an incisive pass from Kyle Walker-Peters, Armstrong lifted the ball over Illan Meslier from a tight angle.
Despite only managing a total of 14 touches in a brilliant first half performance, the 26 year old added his second, and Saints’ third, on 35 minutes.
