Chido Martin Obi is ready to join Manchester United after the Premier League club approved his deal.

According to the same source, Martin Obi has now given his approval to Manchester United and expects to agree on personal terms within the next 24 hours. Manchester United, like Arsenal, is offering an initial scholarship arrangement that will be upgraded to a professional contract once the kid turns 17. The Daily Mail paints a conflicting picture of Martin Obi’s wage position, with Arsenal sources stating money was the deciding factor in his departure, while the player’s camp insists the decision was not financially motivated. Fabrizio Romano claims the player had greater offers from Germany, which appears highly implausible. German clubs have generally offered lower salaries than Premier League clubs, but with better first-team opportunities.

Regardless of the facts of Martin Obi’s departure, with everyone obviously trying to put their own gloss on it, the fact remains that he is departing. The player has already announced this on social media, writing: “I’d like to convey my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at Arsenal over the last four years. “The experiences and progress I’ve had here have been absolutely beneficial. Special thanks to Hale End’s coaches, staff, and teammates. The memories created will always be remembered. “Thank you again for this journey. I wish everyone ongoing success and the best in the future.”
