Bruce Dickinson just revealed that the first solo song from his seventh solo album, The Mandrake Project, will be released in less than a month. The album was announced back in September.

On December 1, the frontman of Iron Maiden will release a new song called Afterglow Of Ragnarok. He has also disclosed that the vinyl version of the song will include a demo called If Eternity Should Fail on the B-side.

“It was important to set the tone of the project with this track,” explains Bruce. “As befitting its title, it’s a heavy song and there’s a great big riff driving it… but there’s also a real melody in the chorus that displays the light and shade that the rest of the album brings… and just wait until you see the video!”

The metal legend has also just unveiled a ton of new UK and European tour dates, kicking off in Glasgow on May 18 and wrapping up in Istanbul on July 19. He’ll be on the road with his touring band, who are comprised of guitarist Roy Z, drummer Dave Moreno, bassist Tanya O’Callaghan and keyboardist Mistheria.
