Breaking : Georgia Flip Big Transfer Portal Recruit From Rival SEC School who is fan favorite.

The Georgia Bulldogs and head coach Kirby Smart ended the season with an 11-3 record overall, going 6-2 in conference play, and also won the SEC Championship Game over the Texas Longhorns.

The Bulldogs entered the College Football Playoff as the No. 2 seed but lost to the No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 23-10 in the Sugar Bowl. That ended their season and the chance to win the national championship for the third time in four years after back-to-back titles in 2021 and 2022.

It’s time for Smart and the Bulldogs to move on and make improvements, which, like many teams, has meant adding transfer portal players. Their most recent move is bringing in safety Adrian Maddox, who was committed to transfer to the Florida Gators but has flipped to Georgia with one year of eligibility remaining.

Maddox has three years of playing experience, including two with Alabama State (2022 and 2023) and one with the UAB Blazers (2024).

His one season with the Blazers has been his most productive with 44 tackles, seven pass deflections, two forced fumbles and one interception, which was a 99-yard pick-six

He could play an important role in ensuring the Bulldogs continue a tradition of standout defenses. Georgia ranked 24th in points per game allowed (20.6) and 30th in total yards per game allowed (329.9) in 2024.

Maddox is Georgia’s third addition at safety through the transfer portal, joining three-star players Zion Branch and Jaden Harris.
