An Alabama wide receiver appeared to show frustration with their use in the team’s 24-17 loss to No. 11 Tennessee on Saturday. The No. 7 Crimson Tide dropped its second game of the season, this time to their bitter SEC rival. Players on Alabama showing emotion after losing is quickly becoming a theme in first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer’s program.
Safety Malachi Moore was visibly upset when Vanderbilt got the best of Alabama on Oct. 5. The team captain apologized for his actions and was available to play in the Crimson Tide’s win over South Carolina. Another member of the Alabama team didn’t take Saturday’s loss against Tennessee well. True freshman wide receiver Caleb Odom made a couple of questionable reposts on X after the game. Per Tony Tsoukalas with Tide Illustrated, Odom reposted a message from Jdsmith31Smith: “Jalen Milroe chose to throw jump ball to Ryan instead of Caleb Odom on that one. Thought he would have chose the taller wideout.”
Like why not do the fade route with Caleb Odom.. you know the WR that’s 6’5 230 pounds..” Both reposts were taken down from Odom’s account at the time of this publishing. The play in question appears to be on Jalen Milroe’s interception in the red zone in the first quarter when the quarterback targeted Ryan Williams.
