With the addition of Davante Adams, New York Jets’ Mike Williams thinks the receiver room is one of the best in football.

The New York Jets traded for Davante Adams to add even more firepower for Aaron Rodgers to get this troubled train back on the tracks.

At 2-4, the Jets’ season already feels like it’s on life support, and the addition of Adams will certainly improve one of the NFL’s least effective offenses.

Adams comes into a room that has Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard and Mike Williams, so there are plenty of avenues for Rodgers to go with the football.

While Williams’ position on the team might be in jeopardy now that Adams has come to the Big Apple, he has given his thoughts on the room as a whole.

“It’s elite, probably the best one of the best rooms in the league,” Williams said. “Excited to learn from Tae [Davante Adams] and everything he been through in this league and the receiver that he’s been, probably been top two top three, in this league for a while. So excited to learn from him and pick his brain on some things.”

For some, there is a real chance that Williams could be moved on before the trade deadline, as there is now a crowded receiver room and only one football – indeed, it might be the Steelers who end up trying to pursue him.

Adams, Wilson, and Lazard will likely get the majority of the targets, plus Breece Hall out of the backfield, and Williams was already in a limited role before Adams arrived.
