This tour follows Peter Hook & The Light’s successful 2024 tour, where they performed the “Substance” albums by Joy Division and New Order in full. Now, Hook is turning his attention to “Get Ready,” New Order’s comeback album from 2001.
Released after an eight-year hiatus, “Get Ready” marked a new phase for the band, featuring the hit single “Crystal,” which played a key role in re-establishing New Order in the early 2000s.
Reflecting on the album, Hook said, “Looking back now it was very enjoyable to make, and I think is massively underrated . . . Barney and I became a ‘power couple’ in Manchester during the making of the record but, sadly, the old problems recurred when we came to play live. The writing was on the wall from then on. The two of us worked very hard to make this a great record and I think we succeeded. I am looking forward to playing all the tracks, many of which have never been played live before.”
