As of January 26, 2025, Clemson Tigers’ quarterback Cade Klubnik has announced his decision to return for the 2025 season, stating, “The story isn’t over.” In the 2024 season, Klubnik delivered an impressive performance, passing for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns with just six interceptions, and adding 463 rushing yards and seven touchdowns over 14 games. His leadership was instrumental in guiding the Tigers to a 10-4 record, securing the ACC Championship before falling to Texas in the first round of the College Football Playoff.

Regarding new quarterback deals, there have been no official announcements from Clemson University about signing a new quarterback or any significant changes to their quarterback roster. Reports suggesting that Clemson has finalized a $69 million deal to replace Cade Klubnik lack credible sources and should be approached with skepticism.

In terms of recruitment, Clemson has added quarterback Chris Denson to its 2025 recruiting class. Denson, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound player from Plant City High School in Florida, initially committed to Coastal Carolina but switched to Clemson after head coach Dabo Swinney’s efforts. He is ranked as the No. 50 quarterback nationally by the 247 Composite and is a three-star recruit.

Therefore, as it stands, Cade Klubnik remains Clemson’s starting quarterback, and the team is bolstering its future roster with promising talent like Chris Denson.
