Davante Adams, the standout wide receiver for the Las Vegas Raiders, was visibly upset on the sidelines during Monday’s loss to the Detroit Lions, demonstrating his lack of self control.

The wide out was caught smashing hit helmet down on to the bench on the broadcast during the fourth quarter of the 26-14 loss to the Lions Monday night.

The receiver’s blatant frustration and sideline helmet smash came after Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo overthrew a wide-open Adams by several yards on what would’ve been an easy 60-yard touchdown.

In addition to cracking his helmet on the bench, Adams yelled, ‘F***,’ caught by the Monday Night Football broadcast.

‘Frustration,’ Adams bluntly said less than a half-hour after the loss ended.

He added: ‘It’s hard to curb your frustration when you can’t put it together.’

Adams caught one pass on seven targets for 11 yards, including a critical third-quarter drop. Garoppolo routinely missed his top pass-catcher.

‘He can only do what he can do,’ Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels said of Adams. ‘He got himself open.’

Monday night was the first time in exactly a year that Adams was held to just one catch, an October 30, 2022 loss to the New Orleans Saints.

Garoppolo has missed two games this season and still leads the NFL with nine interceptions
