SADLY: Denver are in great tears to night as…

Yes, Jerami Grant, a forward for the Portland Trail Blazers, has been heavily involved in trade rumours in the run-up to the February 8 trade deadline. However, the 29-year-old has proven to be a leader in Rip City and one of the team’s most valuable players, so it makes sense that the Blazers will need Grant’s services if they want to defeat Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets, the reigning NBA champions, on the road tonight.

Does Jerami Grant have a game tonight for the Blazers?
Grant’s back problem is listed on Portland’s injury report as questionable as of close to game time; we’ll keep you informed.

You may anticipate seeing more of Toumani Camara and Jabari Walker if he is unable to attend.

Malcolm Brogdon, who was added to the list after the deadline, is dubious due to a bruise in his right knee.

At the NBA trade deadline in 2024, there will be more buyers than sellers, which will provide some special difficulties. Teams who consider themselves contenders, or at least those that are in the running, are looking for that elusive “missing piece.” But as February 8 at 3 p.m. ET draws near, those are becoming scarce.

The Golden State Warriors and Portland Trail Blazers are an excellent illustration of this contrast. The Warriors will not make it to the postseason at all, even though Stephen Curry is still playing at a high level. They needed a wake-up call.

Conversely, Golden State would benefit from the experience of the Blazers, who have players like Jerami Grant, Malcolm Brogdon, and even Matisse Thybulle.

Curry and the Warriors are stranded as Portland doesn’t appear to be eager to sell any of those trio.

For the sake of argument, what if the two teams managed to come to an understanding?
