SAD NEWS: Injured Players Who Will Be Missed the Most By Steelers.

Every NFL team has to deal with injuries, and the Pittsburgh Steelers have suffered more than their fair share of injuries that could endanger the season.

Science shows that no athlete, no matter how strong or how metal, is immune to injury, even if they are called the “Men of Steel”!

The Black and Gold’s “black and blue” athletes have made up an unsettling percentage of the roster, suffering injuries ranging from heads to ankles (or, medical terminology, concussions to sprains). Injuries are by no means a fresh trend in Pittsburgh, but in recent months, their frequency has increased concerningly. Bloody noses, shattered bones, swollen ankles—adverse reactions brought on by sickle-cell characteristics?

What comes next?

Most recently, guard David DeCastro had a knee injury that was almost catastrophic but ultimately less severe than anticipated. As a result, the guard will likely need to take several months out, which might effectively ruin his rookie season.

Which injured players from the Steelers will the team miss the most in 2012? Put differently, which player’s absence from the starting lineup will have the biggest negative impact on the team’s chances of taking home the Lombardi Trophy for the seventh time in February?

Considering that Clark’s condition—rather than an injury—is the reason for his classification, he does not rank among the top five injured athletes.

The unusual sickle cell trait, which is characterised by faulty haemoglobin (a protein that carries oxygen in red blood cells), affects the star safety.

The Mile High City sent him reeling the last time he performed there. He lost both his spleen and gall bladder as a result of oxygen starvation after his body reacted angrily to the thin air.

It goes without saying that Clark will never play at the location again, which is why he was absent along with a plethora of other players during a 29-23 overtime loss in January of last year.
Tim Tebow had trouble maintaining offence throughout the entire season, throwing accurate intermediate throws into passing lanes while keeping safety coverage in mind. Therefore, we…solve the issue by having the safety enter the box considerably more frequently than…irk. I’m getting off topic.

It is obvious that having Peyton Manning in the lineup will need a more traditional strategy. Applying pressure on their new signal-caller will be crucial to defeating the Broncos, but the defensive backs will unavoidably be busy as well.

The ultimate hybrid X-factor, safety/linebacker/corner/coach Troy Polamalu, outperforms Ryan Clark, who is highly undervalued as a stop gap in the secondary. Ryan Clark is known for his tremendous hits and deterring presence over the middle of the field.

In the backfield, the two work well together. Aside from that, he’s a terrific stand-in for Troy since Clark was left to cover for him.

Regardless of his value as a peer, Clark is more than simply a fantastic counterpart to No. 43, and the team will be deprived of one of its best players when he isn’t available in Denver to start the season. Clark, who played in over 98 percent of the team’s snaps last season and recorded over 100 tackles, is the busiest Pittsburgh defender according to statistics.

It is a statement game even though it is only one game. Whether this is his first “real” game back in action or not, Clark’s presence will be invaluable against a quarterback who can fillet a defence, especially on a defence that may enter.
