SO PAINFUL: The official cause of death for Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback revealed…

The cause of Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins’ death was disclosed more than a month after his passing.

Dwayne Haskins, the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, passed away.

E! News was able to secure an autopsy report from the Broward County Medical Examiner, which stated that the 24-year-old NFL player passed away on April 9 from “multiple blunt force injuries” following his collision with a dump truck on a South Florida roadway. It has been determined that the death was an accident.

According to a toxicology report obtained by E! News, Haskins tested positive for ketamine and norketamine and had a blood alcohol level between 0.20 and 0.24 at the time of his death, beyond Florida’s legal limit of.08.

The quarterback, who was in Florida for team practice, had dinner with his teammates prior to his passing. After that, Haskins and a family member allegedly “drank heavily” at a nightclub, according to a police investigation report that E! News was able to obtain.

While travelling on I-595, Haskins ran out of petrol and decided to reach a local gas station on foot. When he tried to cross the interstate’s westbound lanes, where there was incoming traffic, a dump truck hit him. On the spot, he was declared deceased.

On April 13, after learning of Haskins’ passing, his wife Kalabrya sent a statement on the Steelers website expressing gratitude to everyone for their support “during this arduous time of loss.”

“The overwhelming thoughts and prayers have been fuel for our emotional depletion,” she wrote in a letter. “Your blessings have all been tremendously appreciated and valued. Dwayne left a lasting legacy and profound impression on our hearts as a husband, son, brother, teammate, and friend.”
