The loss of Cherry Starr hit Green Bay Packers fans hard Tuesday night, following news of her death earlier that day.

It’s tremendously upsetting for those who have followed the Green Bay Packers for decades, dating back to when her husband Bart Starr played.

Inside the Lambeau Field Atrium, Action 2 News interviewed several folks. While no one knew her personally, everyone praised her dedication to the team, the community, and general compassion.

Cherry Starr has unquestionably left an indelible legacy.

“It’s a sad day when someone dies; you know, she probably had a big influence on Bart Starr.” “He was a classic gentleman, and I’m sure his wife was as graceful and generous as Bart was, so yeah, it’s a sad day for Packers,” said Roy Ames, a Sturgeon Bay resident.

“I didn’t know her directly, but I recall seeing her on television with Bart talking. “I’ve watched them since the mid-60s,” remarked another admirer, Tony Eckert.

Many younger fans may not have been as familiar with Cherry Starr, but older fans undoubtedly knew her well. Tonight, that age group is really experiencing this great.


Green Bay Packers: Brian Gutekunst Gives Major Update On Second Year Player

This weekend, NFL teams, including the Green Bay Packers, will gather at Lucas Oil Stadium to prepare for the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. On Tuesday, general managers and coaches spoke and fielded questions. Brian Gutekunst, the Packers’ general manager, spoke at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
