The Detroit Pistons made a number of adjustments on Friday night following their loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their first order of business was to part ways with veteran guard Shake Milton, allowing their recent trade acquisition to become playoff eligible for an interested team. The second step was to recall Stanley Umude, a youthful veteran. Umude has recently been playing in the NBA G League with the Motor City Cruise team.

The guard was assigned to the G League shortly after he signed a standard contract with the Pistons, seeing a promotion from the two-way deal that he signed back in October.
This year, Umude hasn’t garnered much playing time on the main roster. With the Pistons, he appeared in just one matchup, picking up two minutes of action. But the former Arkansas standout earned interest from the Pistons after seeing what he brought to the table for the Cruise over the past year. During his rookie effort in the G League, Umude averaged 15 points, five rebounds, and one assist in 25 games. He knocked down 41 percent of his shots, averaging 39 percent from deep.

The two teams will face off at 6 p.m. ET.
