The Premier League’s best summer transfer window was perhaps one that West Ham had.

Tim Steidten, West Ham’s new technical director, and David Moyes have received praise from journalists, analysts, and supporters for their use of the Declan Rice funds.

Steidten has become such a cult favorite that he even has his own terrace chant.

For a combined £122 million, Edson Alvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Konstantinos Mavropanos, and Mohammed Kudus arrived.

Hammers supporters once refused to accept reports of a signing until Steidten was spotted traveling on a jet with the player during the summer.

However, the manager said that he received a lot of inside assistance for the largest transactions in West Ham’s window.

Two insiders who assisted Steidten in striking incredible deals for West Ham over the summer have come to light thanks to Moyes.

One of them helped bring in Kudus and Alvarez for £72 million, and as a result, he is currently at West Ham.

Two transfer insiders who assisted Tim Steidten in striking incredible deals for West Ham over the summer are revealed by David Moyes.

Speaking to The Evening Standard, Moyes said that the transfer of Kudus and Alvarez from Ajax to West Ham was just as essential as the acquisition of Steidten. Both players were former Everton stars John Heitinga and Steven Pienaar.

Heitinga, who served as Ajax’s interim manager last season, has subsequently been named by Moyes as his West Ham assistant.

According to Moyes, his advice, along with that of Pienaar, who until this summer managed the Ajax junior team, was essential to the agreements.

“I had a few meetings…” I also called him.

Before I brought Johnny in, “I met Johnny in the summer a couple of times,” Moyes told The Evening Standard.

“I’d met him before, but I was also enquiring about the Ajax players and potential information.

“They were two lads on our recruitment list, but I had no idea I would finish up with them…

But when Mo started to be taken into consideration (for the position at West Ham), I was able to chat to Johnny about Edson.

“Steven Pienaar was one of my former players at Everton and has also played for Ajax, so I called him about them as well.”
