Nick Saban is considered one of the greatest coaches in college football history. The former head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide has won seven national championships, six at Alabama and one at LSU.

He had an impressive record of 297 wins, 71 losses and one tie. However, after last season, Saban surprisingly announced his retirement. Now, he is one of the lead analysts on ESPN’s flagship college football show, “College GameDay.”

As Alabama has struggled in recent weeks, losing two of three games, there has been speculation about Saban’s possible return to the sidelines. Rece Davis, Saban’s colleague on “College GameDay,” quickly dismissed this notion on the “Paul Finebaum Show,” stating that Saban is firmly committed to his current role.

“I think he’s firmly entrenched in his current position coaching us,” Davis said. “He has his hands full with us. He’s done a great job.”

Davis tried to ease the concerns of Alabama fans by acknowledging that following a coach like Saban would never be an easy task. He highlighted some key differences between Saban and the new head coach, Kalen Deboer.
