Jamie Robinson, the first team coach at Nottingham Forest, has left the club after 15 months.

After five years working together at the Football Association, the 51-year-old was lured to Forest by head coach Steve Cooper in the summer of 2022.

He was a key member of the coaching staff as Forest secured their Premier League status last summer, in what was their first season back in the top flight for over two decades.

Robinson has now left to set up his own coaching consultancy, which will see him working with coaches at various clubs on their professional development. His remit at Forest also covered the development of coaches, and he has done similar roles with the FA and PFA.

“I’ve had a fantastic experience at Forest,” Robinson told Training Ground Guru. “To be involved in the coaching staff that kept the club in the Premier League for the first time in 23 years – ahead of the likes of Leeds United and Leicester City – was fantastic.

“I’m really proud of that achievement and the whole of the coaching staff should be too. Now I’m going on my own and am focused on helping coaches to get better. My approach has always been to walk in their shoes and to take a holistic approach.”
