The Arizona Cardinals are expected to pick early in the 2024 NFL Draft, and the team has several options.

Should the quarterback position become available, Caleb Williams and Drake Maye would be considered prominent candidates for the desert. Other impact positions, from offensive tackle to edge rusher, would also see quick requirements filled.

However, there is one name in the 2024 class that makes far too much sense for Arizona: Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.

That won’t be the first or last time you read that, though it rings true each time. The son of Hall of Fame wideout Marvin Harrison somehow looks more advanced as a prospect than his pops did emerging out of college, and his presence in Arizona makes plenty of sense.

Whether it’s Murray or somebody else throwing the ball, the Cardinals could use another receiver to pair with Marquise Brown (if he re-signs) and current rookie Michael Wilson.

Bleacher Report would seem to agree, calling Harrison the “perfect” fit for the Cardinals.

“Let’s be clear: Marvin Harrison Jr. fits any system. A wide receiver who’s 6’4″ and 205 pounds with his route-running skills and ability to make contested catches is an elite prospect,” said David Kenyon.

“Although every single NFL team wants him, the Arizona Cardinals need a player like Harrison.

“Marquise Brown has been a decent No. 1 target, and the team picked up his fifth-year option for 2024. But are the Cardinals ready to commit the long-term money he will command for a second contract?
