Taylor Bol Bowen, a 6-foot-10 forward who transferred from Florida State, has committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball team. In the 2024-2025 season, Bowen averaged 8.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game, shooting 41.4% from three-point range.
Bowen entered the transfer portal in March 2025, expressing interest in exploring new opportunities under Alabama’s coach, Nate Oats. He visited Kentucky before finalizing his decision to join Alabama.
At Alabama, Bowen is expected to play a significant role, especially with the departure of key forwards Grant Nelson and Clifford Omoruyi. His versatility and shooting ability align well with Oats’ style of play, which emphasizes spacing and three-point shooting.
This addition bolsters Alabama’s roster as they prepare for the upcoming season, aiming to build on their recent successes and make a deeper run in the NCAA Tournament.
