The Detroit Lions have declared their inactives for their Week 14 game against the Chicago Bears, and they are once again pretty healthy for this game.

The Lions entered Week 14 with a full 53-man roster and elevated only IOL Michael Neise bringing Detroit’s game-day roster total up to 54 players.

Because the Lions have eight offensive linemen active for Sunday’s game, they are eligible to expand their game-day roster from 47 to 48 players. Therefore, with 54 players on the game-day roster and 48 eligible to play, the Lions need to declare six players inactive for today’s matchup.

Lions inactives:

  • C Frank Ragnow (toe/back/knee) — Ruled OUT Friday
  • EDGE Charles Harris
  • CB Chase Lucas
  • WR Antoine Green
  • CB Steven Gilmore
  • LB Trevor Nowaske

With Ragnow ruled out, the Lions will turn to Graham Glasgow at center, and likely promote rookie Colby Sorsdal to right guard. This was the preferred positional move after Ragnow exited last week’s game due to injury.

Despite not elevating Bruce Irvin, the Lions also felt they had enough depth on the edge to sit Charles Harris. It’s worth noting that the Lions kept four defensive tackles active in this game—likely to help pick up the slack from Alim McNeill going on injured reserve—which also played into this decision. Good news for Levi Onwuzurike, Brodric Martin, and Isaiah Buggs, all of whom had been regular healthy scratches.

Lucas will sit this week as the Lions will lean on former Bears starting corner Kindle Vildor, who was signed to the active roster this week in a corresponding move to McNeill landing on IR.

For the fourth week in a row, a very healthy Lions roster squeezes out rookies Green and Gilmore, while Nowaske sits for the third time in four games with Alex Anzalone back in the fold.

Bears inactives:

  • WR Equanimeous St. Brown (pectoral) — Ruled OUT Friday
  • QB Nathan Peterman
  • WR Collin Johnson
  • OL Ja’Tyre Carter
  • DL Dominique Robinson
  • DB Quindell Johnson
