The Green Bay Packers are dealing with the fallout of a terrible Monday night loss to the Giants. One thing that fans are anxiously awaiting updates on is the health status of some players including rookie receiver Dontayvion Wicks. He went out with an ankle injury and in the postgame, he didn’t offer a promising update.

Green Bay Packers Dontayvion Wicks Anke Injury

According to a local reporter, Wicks said his ankle is “f***ed up” and he could miss some time. While we won’t know until tomorrow what the extent of the injury is, the first indication is that it might be a high ankle sprain. This means we might have seen the last of Wicks on the field this season. While there are exceptions, high ankle sprains usually take between four and six weeks to heal. This would be a massive loss for the Packers offense as Wicks has looked really good this season. Also, with Christian Watson still nursing a hamstring injury, it leaves them thin at wide receiver.

Concern After The Loss?

There are obviously things to work on. Going on a three-game winning streak and then losing to the Giants isn’t great. However, we see this in the NFL week in and week out. This league is full of parity. If a team has a bad game like the Packers did on Monday night, no matter how bad the other team is, they can win. The young team looked unprepared to play and made some boneheaded decisions that led to points for the Giants. If the team can clean up those, they should be fine.

How long will Dontayvion Wicks be out for the Green Bay Packers? We’ll have to wait for an official update, but it doesn’t seem promising.
