The fact that the Las Vegas Raiders were playing without offensive cogs, tailback Josh Jacobs and left tackle Kolton Miller, was lost in the craziness that was their 63-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15 (the Las Vegas offense accounting for 49 points).

That does not look to be the case in the Raiders’ crucial Week 16 game against the AFC West-leading Kansas City Chiefs on Monday. The game will begin at 10 a.m. PT.

Wednesday, Las Vegas interim head coach Antonio Pierce said, if he was a betting man, he’d expect both Jacobs and Miller to face the Chiefs, according to the The Athletic. That, of course, would be a huge boost. The 9-5 Chiefs can clinch the division with a win. The 6-8 Raiders could be eliminated from playoff contention in a formula that includes a defeat.

Jacobs hurt his quad in a Week 14 loss against Minnesota. Peirce said Wednesday that he was close to playing against the Chargers, but it was on a short week. Miller has missed four of the past five games with a shoulder injury. He re-aggravated the injury against the Chiefs in Week 12.

The other Raiders are center Andre James (ankle) and linebacker Divine Deablo (ankle) and defensive end Maxx Crosby is playing through a knee issue. We should know more about their status as the week progresses.
