The Toronto Blue Jays have been relatively quiet during the MLB winter.

They were interested in signing Shohei Ohtani but fell short.

But, that cannot mean their offseason ends.

They must still find ways to improve their roster so they can get back to the playoffs.

According to Jon Morosi, the Blue Jays have been in contact with outfielder Michael A. Taylor.

He spent last season with the Minnesota Twins where he hit a career-high 21 home runs.

Taylor is more of a utility outfielder than an everyday player.

But, he can still play a large role on a contending team.

The Blue Jays are going to have their work cut out for them next year.

Playing in the AL East is going to be as difficult as ever.

The Yankees have gotten better this offseason with the addition of Juan Soto.

While the Baltimore Orioles are still the team to beat after their 101-win season last year.

Also, the team that consistently flies under the radar is the Tampa Bay Rays.

They may be a small-market team but they consistently have one of the best records in the sport.

Toronto has a lot of work to do before they can consider themselves serious AL threats.

It will be interesting to see how much money they are willing to spend this offseason.

There are a few difference-making players still available, but the Blue Jays must be willing to spend.
