The Kansas City Chiefs will need Santa to bring them some useful backups before their game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas morning. Four important offensive players have been declared out for the Chiefs’ Week 16 game.

Last Sunday, the Chiefs ended a two-game losing streak by defeating the New England Patriots. The Chiefs, who are 9-5, will meet the Raiders this weekend in the hopes of gaining a seed in the AFC West. But it will not be easy, since the 6-8 Raiders blew out the Los Angeles Chargers 63-21 in their past game.

The Chiefs already came into Week 16 struggling on offense. The Chiefs lead the league in drops. Their running back play hasn’t been great recently, and Isiah Pacheco is returning after having shoulder surgery last week. To add to the problems at skilled positions, rookie left tackle Wanya Morris will be asked to line up across from Maxx Crosby, who has 13.5 sacks this season.

The Chiefs will be in for a more challenging battle against the Raiders on Christmas than what the public would have thought on paper when the Raiders fired Josh McDaniels a few weeks ago.
