The Detroit Lions’ secondary delivered a great effort against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. The team intercepted four passes from Vikings quarterback Nick Mullens. Kerby Joseph received two selections, while Brian Branch and Ifeatu Melifonwu each received one.

Melifonwu and Branch were among the highest-graded players in Sunday’s game by Pro Football Focus. In addition to his game-clinching interception, Melifonwu had two sacks and two pass breakups. Romeo Okwara also logged a sack and was the Lions’ highest-graded defender by PFF.

Graham Glasgow, Penei Sewell, Frank Ragnow and Taylor Decker all earned high PFF grades for their performance as well. Thanks to their efforts, running backs Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery were able to combine for 135 yards on the ground against one of the league’s best defenses. Additionally, quarterback Jared Goff was 30-of-40 for 257 yards and a touchdown while only being sacked once.
