Michigan has decided on its next head coac

The University of Michigan has chosen its next head football coach.

Michigan has hired Sherrone Moore as its next head coach. Moore, 37, joined Michigan’s coaching staff in 2018. He advanced from tight ends coach to co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. Moore also gained game experience as the head coach for the national champion Michigan Wolverines last season.

Moore was one of three coaches that took over for Jim Harbaugh early in the season as he served a three-game ban issued by the school. Moore coached the club to victory over Bowling Green in that game.

Then, when the Big Ten suspended Harbaugh later in the season, Moore took over as acting head coach for 3-0 and won all three games, including victories against Ohio State and Penn State. Moore was 4-0 in his four games as acting head coach.

Michigan has offered Moore a 5-year deal for $5.5 million.
