The Pittsburgh Steelers have been quite successful in selecting wide receivers in the draft over the years.
Since the late 1990s, the team has seen Pro Bowler after Pro Bowler come through.
They have continued to be successful in the last few years.
The former Pro Bowl wide receiver Diontae Johnson and the 1140-yard wide receiver George Pickens are currently on the Steelers’ wide receiver depth chart. The Steelers drafted both of them.
With Jerry Rice’s son, Brenden Rice, in the 2024 draft class, they may attempt to build on that success this year. Jerry Rice is a legendary figure in the NFL.
Even with two receivers as good as Johnson and Pickens, they could have to search the draft for another receiver.
Allen Robinson made it through the team’s initial round of cuts, but he probably won’t be around for very long.
The squad will now need to find a WR3.
A big board was prepared by Mike DeFabo of The Athletic for each of the Steelers’ first three draft selections in 2024.

Despite not being quite the collegiate superstar his father was, Rice was still able to establish a strong reputation for himself by the time his academic career came to an end.
During his first two seasons of college at Colorado, he failed to make an impression. In his two seasons with the Buffaloes, he only managed 27 catches for 419 yards.
He moved to USC as a result, where he teamed up with the likely number one choice in this year’s NFL Draft.
He and Caleb Williams hit it off right away. In his Trojans debut, Rice caught 39 passes for 611 yards and four touchdowns.
