Corey Dennis, the former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterbacks coach, has joined the Ole Miss Rebels’ coaching staff in Oxford.

The Ole Miss Rebels hired Corey Dennis as their new quarterbacks coach this week, after he previously held the same role at Ohio State.

On3 was the first to report the story. Dennis has spent nine years with the Buckeyes in Columbus, coaching quarterbacks for the last four years and working with Dwayne Haskins, Justin Fields, and C.J. Stroud at the quarterback position.

Dennis is also the son-in-law of former college coach Urban Meyer, thus his football experience will be an invaluable asset to Kiffin’s staff at Ole Miss as the Rebels strive for a College Football Playoff berth in 2024.

Ole Miss has been a unanimous top-10 team in “way-too-early” top 25 rankings this offseason, and many publications have included the Rebels in the top five. This comes on the heels of one of the best seasons in school history in 2023 where Ole Miss won 11-games for the first time as a program, capped off with a victory in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl over the Penn State Nittany Lions.
