Peyton Manning has put his support behind Zach Wilson, who was just moved to the Denver Broncos from the New York Jets, calling the move a beneficial change of scenery for the rookie quarterback.
Wilson, 24, was part of a trade that saw the Jets exchange their No. 256 seventh-round pick for Denver’s No.203 pick in the sixth round of this year’s draft.
The Broncos have bolstered their quarterback options with Wilson now on board, joining Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci, after they cut ties with Russell Wilson last month. The trio is set to vie for the starting spot, and it’s anticipated that Denver will draft a rookie quarterback to further strengthen their roster.
