AXL ROSE To Join AC/DC On Upcoming North American Tour
AC/DC might soon be announcing a North American tour, according to a report from AlternativeNation.net. The legendary rock band is rumored to reveal details as early as tomorrow or Tuesday.
Former SKID ROW frontman Sebastian Bach recently shared details in an interview, suggesting that at least ten North American dates are planned for April and May next year. He also added that GUNS N’ ROSES frontman Axl Rose will be joining AC/DC on those dates. It remains uncertain whether Rose will be stepping in for Brian Johnson or simply joining AC/DC for a few songs.
Axl Rose famously stepped in for Brian Johnson during AC/DC‘s “Rock or Bust” tour in 2016 when Johnson faced hearing issues.
AC/DC wrapped up the 24th and final show of their “Power Up” European tour on August 17, 2024, at Dublin’s Croke Park in Ireland.
The “Power Up” European tour was AC/DC‘s first with their new touring lineup, featuring singer Brian Johnson, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and their latest addition, bassist Chris Chaney.
When announcing Matt Laug‘s addition to the Power Trip lineup, AC/DC did not provide any explanation for the absence of longtime drummer Phil Rudd, who had returned to the band for the recording of their comeback album, Power Up, released in November 2020.
