Prior to the October international break, the Spurs manager had led his team to the top of the Premier League and had never lost in the English top division. Thus, it is not surprising that he was chosen as the September PL Manager of the Month.

Ange Postecoglou and Son Heung-min continue to rule the Premier League honors list for the second consecutive month, making it an incredible time to be Tottenham Hotspur supporter.

He wasn’t the only Spurs favourite to come out on top as skipper Son Heung-min bagged the gong for PL Player of the Month for September. This is the South Korean ace’s first monthly gong in the category since October 2020. Another Spurs star, James Maddison won the gong in August.

As confirmed by the Daily Mail, this is the first time ever that Tottenham affiliates have won both awards in the first two months of a new campaign. Hopefully, it will not be the last either as we hope for a memorable season with silverware on offer.

The last time a Premier League manager kicked off a new campaign with consecutive Premier League monthly gongs was when Jurgen Klopp achieved it in the 2019-20 season. Liverpool went on to end their league hoodoo that season and we sincerely hope it is our turn this time around. Surely the omens look good.Ange Postecoglou of Tottenham Hotspur is the flavour of the month for September.

Postecoglou has changed the atmosphere at Tottenham and we are suddenly brimming with excitement and optimism. It is a far cry from the dying embers of Antonio Conte’s stint where misery was the only word that could describe us.

With Harry Kane gone, the onus is on Son to step up both as a leader and as our chief goal-getter., He managed to do just that in September, scoring a hat-trick against Burnley, a brace against Arsenal and the opener against Liverpool. Hopefully, the best is yet to come.

As he overcame Liverpool’s curse in the Premier League, Jurgen Klopp took home five of the six monthly prizes for best manager in the 2019–20 season. Despite the fact that there is still a long way to go, we wish Postecoglou the best of luck in the upcoming months. We are undoubtedly on to something unique.
