According to a well-known social media account, the Green Brigade’s season tickets have been canceled, and they are now essentially barred from Celtic Park. They also no longer have access to away tickets for upcoming away games in the Scottish Premiership against Hearts and Hibs.

While we are unsure where the poster got this information from, The Celtic Star can confirm this evening that after speaking to a senior source at Celtic Park, this is NOT the case and the Green Brigade’s tickets have NOT been cancelled and barring any unforeseen circumstances they will be in their usual North Curve section for the game against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday evening.

Anyone who has followed our reporting on stories in and around Celtic will know that they have been 100% accurate.

We reported recently on Celtic’s revelation that theRangers had accepted that the away section at Ibrox was unsafe after numerous incidents of Celtic supporters being hit by missiles thrown from their home support. We told you that theRangers planned to install nets – essentially to keep the animals outside of the cage – but were unable to do so in time for the match at the start of September, which Celtic (reserves) won thanks to a brilliant strike from Kyogo.

Celtic declined to purchase tickets for that game for that reason. They were aware that the hosts’ own judgment was that the away section was hazardous, and that under those conditions Celtic could not sell tickets to our supporters.
