According to Brian Robb of MassLive, Aaron Nesmith, a former lottery pick of the Boston Celtics, “holds no hard feelings” against the team following the deal on July 9 that sent Nesmith to the Indiana Pacers and included Malcolm Brogdon, another guard who was moved by the Cs.
Nesmith talks positively about his time with the team prior to the next chapter, particularly what he learned on the defensive end, and he has no hard feelings for the Celtics following the trade, according to Robb.
Nesmith did hold what Bleacher Report tweeted — a photo of Spongebob Squarepants holding a paperclip and string with the caption “what the Celtics gave up for Brogdon” — against the media company, however.
“As soon as the trade happened, I saw the tweet and I saved it immediately,” Nesmith said. “I’m someone who I do take things personally and that helps make me better. It’s what drives me to go to the gym at night, so the tweet was always on my mind for sure. I saved it in my favorites. Sometimes if I’m having a good day or something, I open up the photos and it’s in there. Just makes me want to go to the gym.
“Everybody’s entitled to their own opinions, but when you have a legitimate, like, source or whatever tweets it, holds more weight. More people see it.”

Nesmith scored nine points on a 4/9 night, but the entire performance was marred by four fouls and a 1/6 shooting effort from beyond the arc. Fortunately, or perhaps unfortunately, the other members of his team contributed to deflecting attention from the humiliating defeat.
