When the Celtics take on the Warriors on the road on Tuesday night, they might be missing two of their biggest players. Prior to their game against Golden State, Boston revealed their most recent injury report on Monday afternoon. Luke Kornet was ruled out and Kristaps Porzingis was labeled as questionable.

Porzingis had only recently returned to the court on Sunday after missing Friday’s game due to soreness in his left calf. The fact that the team has designated him for left calf injury management indicates that he might not play in both legs of the Boston back-to-back, which wraps up in Sacramento on Wednesday night. Porzingis, who also missed four games earlier this month due to the injury, was upbeat about it on Sunday.

“To be honest, it was just a cautionary thing,” Porzingis said of sitting out Friday. “Not playing a back-to-back. But it felt good. Felt good enough that I could have played. It’s just I think the medical staff is taking a more cautious approach, especially the first couple weeks coming back from the calf.”

Porzingis finished with 29 minutes played against the Magic on Sunday, putting up a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 114-97 victory. While the 7-foot-3 center is adamant about wanting to play as much as possible, he plans to defer to the Celtics training staff on their preferences.

“They know my stance: I want to play in every game they allow me,” Porzingis said. “But of course, they want to be smart with me and my health. Make sure I’m here for the long picture.”

Kornet remains out with an adductor strain for the third straight game. However, he could be cleared to return during Boston’s four-game road trip.
