On Sunday afternoon, one day after Clemson’s annual elite junior day, four-star offensive tackle Brayden Jacobs of Buford (Ga.) made his commitment to the Tigers.

Jacobs is Matt Luke’s first pledge as a Clemson assistant coach.

Jacobs (6-7, 310) has also received offers from Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, and South Carolina, among others.

Jacobs told Clemson247 last week that he planned to visit LSU, Florida, and possibly Ohio State and South Carolina in spring and/or summer before making a commitment choice. At the moment, Clemson247 hinted that Clemson’s elite junior day may potentially shorten his timeline.

After Saturday, Jacobs concluded that no further visits were necessary. The game was against Clemson.

Last summer, he attended Clemson’s Dabo Swinney Camp. He returned in September for the Florida State game.

Clemson made an offer on June 1. Jacobs was one of the first offensive linemen in 2025 that Clemson identified and pursued.

Jacobs’ father, Brandon, is a two-time Super Bowl champion running back.

According to 247Sports, Jacobs is the No. 123 overall prospect and No. 14 offensive lineman. He’s ranked No. 174 overall and No. 17 tackle by the 247Sports Composite.

He is Clemson’s ninth public commitment in the 2025 class, and the second offensive line promise, following four-star Easton Ware of Lynchburg (Va.) Liberty Christian Academy’s commitment in November.
