Over the last few years, the Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners have shared a large number of players. Two additional athletes have joined the organization, including a position player and a pitcher. Both were free agents who signed minor league deals with the Mariners.

Brian Anderson and Trevor Kelley have signed with the Seattle Mariners.  

According to Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times, infielder/outfielder Brian Anderson and relief pitcher Trevor Kelley have signed minor league contracts with the Mariners. According to Jon Heyman, Anderson will earn a $2 million paycheck if he joins the squad. Kelley previously pitched for four major league organizations with little success.

How did Brian Anderson perform with the Milwaukee Brewers? 

Brian Anderson was an important aspect of the Brewers’ lineup in early 2023. He started in right field on opening day, but was moved to third base after Luis Urias injured his hamstring. He had 20 RBI in April, but struggled for the rest of the year and missed significant time due to a back issue. The Brewers released him in October.

How did Trevor Kelley perform with the Milwaukee Brewers? 

Trevor Kelley was with the Brewers in 2022. He participated in 18 games, pitched 23.2 innings, and had an ERA of 6.08. With a 6.75 ERA in 50.2 career big league innings, the 31-year-old has struggled.
