Milwaukee Bucks forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo has been handed a one-game suspension without pay for his unsportsmanlike behaviour in the game against Boston Celtics, as announced by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations of the National Basketball Association on Saturday.

The 30-year-old head-butted Celtics forward Blake Griffin after the latter had fouled him hard, in a play that resulted in a scuffle between both teams during their Eastern Conference matchup on Thursday night.

Following the incident, Antetokounmpo was called for a Flagrant-2-Foul and was subsequently ejected from the game with about 1:25 remaining in the fourth quarter.

In what was their joint largest defeat this season, the Bucks lost the game 140-99 to the Celtics at Fiserv Forum.

The Greek-Nigerian basketballer will serve his suspension on Sunday, April 2nd, when the Eastern Conference leaders host the Philadelphia 76ers in Milwuakee.
